The family of a young boy who sustained critical harm after being hurled from the 10th floor of the art gallery have stated their "little knight" has reached his objective of managing to jump, swim, and run anew.

This European boy was six years old when he was hurled from a balcony by a youth, previously 17.

The child, who was on holiday with the family in the summer of 2019 when assaulted, survived a 100ft fall but experienced significant harm, such as a brain hemorrhage and fractures.

Parents said in an update on a fundraising site, they were delighted that he had been able to advance with his swimming, running and jumping before his next procedure.

"He doesn't perform like other children his age, certainly, but we are unable to portray his actions in different terms than by terming it's running, jumping, and swimming."

"It varies, merely across a couple of yards or a low level, but it's an incredible success."

He, who endured a long time in critical care, has continued to build cognitive endurance.

Relatives explained although his recall abilities were still highly constrained, they were operational and advancing, so he was "developing a basic understanding at his speed, which progressively allows him to be included with other children."

They added: "He's also growing up, and due to his work with the physical therapist, he now enables himself to unwind."

Following a trial at the central criminal court, the teenager was sentenced of attempted murder and was imprisoned in 2020 for no less than 15 years.
